When I walked to school that way when I was young, there was a man who used to do a lot of fishing in the pool where the hatchery fish were released. We used to call him the Cheater Fisherman. I'd recommend trying some of the fruit wines they make here in the state, which I prefer over the grape wines, though they do cultivate grapes here too, believe it or not! Check out http://www.prairieberry.com/ for one local winery. And the school I went to was Cleghorn Elementary, which is no longer there because they decided the facilities were too out of date and the building would be too expensive to fix.
