Vacation Guide Ready to Guide Vacationers

Although online travel research is growing in popularity, it’s not the only way to plan your vacation. At least not yet. Pretty hard to stuff a website in your glovebox when you head down the open road.
That’s why the South Dakota Vacation Guide is still a popular travel tool. It had better be. The Black Hills, Badlands & Lakes Association just took possession of 15 truckloads of the 2009-10 edition.
It’s a 276-page, full-color booklet that covers all corners of South Dakota. It has 700 photos, 35 maps and information on more than 1,000 attractions and visitor services. There are 14 pages on state and national parks and 83 family attractions.
There’s also an “E-Guide to the Black Hills & Badlands,” an Internet clone of the Badlands and Black Hills sections of the printed Vacation Guide, with added editorial and photo spreads.
You can get the the SD Vacation Guide by calling 800-344-9834; by writing to Black Hills, Badlands & Lakes Association, 1851 Discovery Circle, Rapid City, SD 57701; or online at www.blackhillsbadlands.com.
