I think this is a fantastic idea! Even if the Farmer’s market does not move, the square will be a great addition downtown. I only wish they could get it built before I graduate from SDSM&T!

Really nice. Skating rink( pond in summer) would make a great family place. Also a great place to celebrate New Years. A mini Rockerfeller. GREAT IDEA!!….But remember, upkeep will cost taxes!!!!

This is amazing! I would love to see this happen in Rapid City. The city really needs it, it will take Rapid to a whole new level. I love the sprinkler park and the ice skating at night. Its a very good proposal.

This is a fantastic plan! It is exactly what downtown needs and it will provide a sense of community that has been lacking in Rapid City…except during special ocassions like Thursday Summer Nights.
This plan reminds me of other places I have lived, that completely changed (improved). Seattle, Olympia, Boulder, Ft.Collins, and LoDo Denver all have similar community gathering areas that have transformed the downtown areas!. If we build it…well you know the rest! We’ve all seen the strip malls and urban sprawl just kill the town. Thank goodness for some forward-thinking individuals that are trying to make this deal come true! Next order of business…revitalize the Baken Park area!
