Art and culture is the lifeblood of any society and the Black Hills has more than its fair share. In Hot Springs, SD, you can visit the largest gallery of original artwork in the Black Hills. Owned by Adam Heath, the Shaman Gallery has been selling artwork from around the world for 15 years.
He has the work of over 200 artists present and all continents, minus Antarctica, are represented. Among the US, New Mexico and California have a very large proportion of wall space.
The gallery’s clients range from private collectors to museums to tourists just passing through. The best part is he has artwork priced for all buyers. The average piece costs between $600-$700, but he regularly sells jewelry and other low cost items all the way up to a $65,000 painting.
The gallery has been home to works from the likes of Miro, Warhol, Basqiuet, Dali and other well-known artists. Adam currently has a set of four prints signed by Dali hanging in the gallery and they are for sale as a set or individually.
If you find yourself in Hot Springs, I would highly recommend stopping at The Shaman Gallery—regardless of your interests, it has something for everyone!
