Scenic view of the Hills

Hiking and snowmobiling trails are scattered throughout the Black Hills. Snowmobiling is permitted in an area of nearly 1.2 million acres along with around 450 miles worth of hiking trails and nature walks.

So with all of these options, which trail should you choose? Do you know how to find the trails? Wonder what other hikers or snowmobilers have to say?

The answers to all of your questions are just a click away on MySpace.

Hiking in the Black Hills and Snowmobiling in the Black Hills, managed by Ara Baumkratz and the Black Hills Badlands and Lakes Association, are great resources for anyone wanting to take advantage of the various trails in the Black Hills.

Snowmobiling in the Black Hills currently has 418 friends, a blog with over 200 views, and weekly updates on snow conditions.  The hiking site has 346 friends with nearly 800 views.  In other words, there are plenty of people to ask for advice and recommendations on which paths to take and many resources for news or special events happening at one of the trails.  Also, you should take time to look over the photo albums on each page to catch a glimpse of some great scenery and see hikers and snowmobilers enjoying the trails firsthand.

Before planning your next outdoor adventure, you might want to become friends with the BHB&L MySpace pages. Also, for more information on outdoor recreation, e-mail info@blackhillsbadlands.com.
