He’s Back……

Toby Keith

For almost anyone who has experienced the Sturgis Bike Rally, a few similar things come to mind:  Harleys, leather, tattoos and the great concerts. This upcoming August will be no exception.

On August 3rd, the Buffalo Chip is welcoming back Toby Keith for his second appearance, alongside Aerosmith and George Thorogood.

In 2005, Toby Keith’s performance in the pouring rain left quite the impression on fans at the Buffalo Chip. Campground owner Rod Woodruff said in a release he still receives e-mails and comments about Keith’s extraordinary show, which was internationally acclaimed on the Travel Channel’s “Sturgis: All Access.”

Could we really have expected anything less from this country music sensation? In less than a decade, Keith has sold 25 million albums, millions of concert tickets and has won various awards including 2003 ACM Entertainer the Year, 2004 Favorite Male Artist from the American Music Awards, the 2005 Top Country Artist from the Billboard Music Awards, etc. etc. etc.  These are only 3 from a list of around 70 honors that I found listed on his website.  Take a look.

If you plan a visit to the 2009 Sturgis Bike Rally, you might want to keep the Buffalo Chip in your plans for Aug. 3 to see a return performance that will no doubt be a hit, rain or shine.  For more info on Toby Keith’s upcoming performance and the other acts scheduled at the Buffalo Chip this year, go to www.BuffaloChip.com.
