Rockers Collective Soul will headline the 20th annual Deadwood Jam this September. The organizers of the outdoor music festival in Deadwood announced today that the band will perform on Saturday, September 18.

Collective Soul has performed in the past at the Deadwood Jam, but they were such a crowd favorite that the committee chose to bring them back for an encore performance.

“With 2010 marking 20 years of the Jam, we went after Collective Soul to bring back one of the most requested bands,” said Matt Pike, Deadwood Jam committee chairman.

Although they might be the most well-known band on the bill, Collective Soul  won’t be the only crowd favorite to return to this year’s event. Committee members are in the process of finalizing the Friday, September 17 and Saturday, September 18 lineups and will be announcing more exciting bands in the coming days.

As part of the Jam’s 20th anniversary, tickets are already on sale through Black Hills Central Reservations and are being offered at a special rate of $20 for 20 days (through March 2).
