Black Hills Overdrive

The Black Hills attracts a variety visitors for many different reasons. We have fans of the outdoor recreation, history buffs, photographers, writers, bikers during the Sturgis Rally, etc. etc. Now, for a 5th year, the Black Hills will be attracting owners of classic and custom cars at the Black Hills Overdrive this June.

The 5th Annual Black Hills Overdrive Car Show and Cruises are scheduled for June 11-14. The Overdrive is a car rally for owners of cruisers, street rods, custom and specialty vehicles. Drivers and passengers have the opportunity to cruise through the various beautiful scenic byways in the Black Hills including the Needles Highway, Iron Mountain Road, and Spearfish Canyon.

Along with the relaxing rides amongst the beautiful scenery of the Black Hills, plenty of events have been planned for participants like the Early-Bird Fort Hays Chuckwagon Supper, the Custer City Show N’ Shine and the Concours de Custer, where entertainment will be provided at Calvin Coolidge’s summer home.

Also planned is the Rapid City Show N’ Shine, the first fully-judged car show to be held in Downtown Rapid City. Twenty-five cars/trucks will be awarded at the event and displayed at that evening’s Cruiser Night Parade. A farewell breakfast will be held at Mount Rushmore National Memorial the following morning on Sunday the 14.

Anyone interested in becoming a part of the Overdrive can register online.
