Red Wing

It’s safe to assume that plenty of special appearances will be made at the 2009 Sturgis Rally. There are always some celebrities taking part in the festivities. Of course, we can’t forget the performers who take the stage at the Buffalo Chip, like this year’s entertainment Toby Keith and Aerosmith.

This year, Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler will be bringing something more than talent to the Rally. He and his partners from Dirico Motorcycle will be unveiling their new custom bike to be raffled off by the Sturgis Chamber of Commerce.

Never heard of Dirico Motorcycle? The company, formerly known as Red Wing Motorcycles, was started by Steven Tyler and his friends Mark Dirico, a renowned engineer, and Steven Talarico of AC Custom Motorcycles. With the experience of Talarico, the know-how of Dirico, and the artistic touch of Tyler, the company began a successful formation. Their first line of motorcycles debuted in 2007.

Dirico Motorcycles had a display of their custom bikes at last year’s rally and will be showing off their bikes again at this year’s bike week. Their new design for this year’s raffle will be autographed by Steven Tyler and proceeds will go to the city of Sturgis.

To catch a glimpse of the Dirico Motorcycles, checkout their webpage, or keep your eyes open when you’re walking the streets of Sturgis at the 2009 Rally.
