Black Hills Snowmobile in the Powder - Photo One

The snow’s been coming down all weekend in the Black Hills, so I thought it would be appropriate to put up our first photoblog, courtesy of friend-of-the-blog Kim Schubert over at Black Hills Badlands & Lakes. These shots were taken on January 19th in the upper hills by professional photographer John Bing from Deadwood Photography.

The powder was pretty fresh at the time, and I suspect that with all the new snow we’ve been getting over the past couple of days, it’s still fluffy.

A nice action shot of a sled blasting through a drift.

Looks like a glamor shot of their sleds. Work it, baby…

Uh-oh. Looks like that maneuver didn’t go quite as planned.

Black Hills Snowmobile in the Powder - Photo Eight

Looks like the driver got the front end pretty buried.

I’ve never been snowmobiling myself, but I suspect that results like this are at least half the fun.
